Vun Sard Thai or Vun Ho Kao Pradub Din
On the ninth lunar month each year, there is a Buddhist ceremony called, "Vun Sard Thai" (Thai) and "Vun Ho Kao Pradub Din" (Lao). The lay people would go to the temple to offer foods to the monks, observe the precepts, listen to dhamma talk and dedicate the result of the merits to relatives, friends, and people they respected that had already passed away.
Everybody is welcome to join the ceremony at the temple. Schedules are as follows;
Saturday August 15, 2009:
6pm - Eight Precepts Observance
7pm - Evening Chanting
Sunday August 16, 2009:
10:30am - offer food to the monks in the alm bowls
11am - luncheon for the monks
12pm - luncheon for everyone
